Abstract:
To explore evacuation of personnel in case of dormitory fire, the FDS+EVAC software was used to simulate the fire and evacuation of personnel in single room, single-storey and six-storey buildings. The influences of fire-related parameters, different personnel characteristics, different number of stairs and different number of exits on personnel evacuation were analyzed, and the simulation results were compared with the empirical formula to verify the reliability of the simulation. The results showed that temperature and visibility were the main factors affecting single room evacuation. The choice of exits in single-layer evacuation was affected by the location of different fire sources affects, which was likely to cause local congestion. During the evacuation of the whole building, the evacuation time was correlated with multiple factors, such as the number of stairs.
