Microstructure and Properties of ZrB2-Based Composite Coatings Fabricated by Plasma Spray

  • Ultra-high temperature ceramics (UHTCs) have been widely studied due to their high melting point, high thermal conductivity and good chemical stability. ZrB2 is the one of the most typical UHTCs and plasma spray technique has been considered as an effective fabrication method for UHTCs coatings. The latest studies of ZrB2-based composite coatings fabricated by plasma spray were reviewed. The modification of the coatings was proposed.
